LIFESTYLEGLIDE / HOW WE WORK

Privacy Policy

How LifestyleGlide handles accounts, essential cookies, newsletter records and browser storage.

By LifestyleGlide · Updated

About this notice.

LifestyleGlide provides practical guides, worksheets and optional AI prompts. LifestyleGlide is the public publisher and contact for this policy. For privacy questions, email contact@lifestyleglide.com.

Accounts and login cookies.

Account signup asks for an email address, display name and editable profile username. WordPress stores the email address, internal sign-in identifier, profile username, display name, password hash, registration information, subscriber role and information needed for login sessions and password recovery. We also record when you acknowledged the privacy notice and the notice version. The password hash is not a readable copy of the password. We use WordPress email to send a password setup link; you set your password through that link before signing in.

Account information is used to operate the account, support login and password recovery, and protect access. Account creation does not itself subscribe a person to marketing. Account records remain in WordPress until they are changed or removed; an automatic account-deletion schedule has not been configured. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion.

WordPress uses login and browser-test cookies. Keep me signed in is optional and checked by default on the account sign-in form. Uncheck it on shared devices. It uses WordPress persistent login cookies, normally valid for 14 days; signing out, clearing cookies or security changes can end a session sooner. The site does not save a readable password in cookies or browser storage. The account page also uses a random security cookie, lg_account_form, for up to 30 minutes to bind form tokens to the browser. Necessary cookies support sign-in and form protection; blocking them can prevent these features from working. The account page is configured to avoid shared page caching. The site uses HTTPS; these measures do not guarantee that a website can never be compromised.

To limit repeated login and signup attempts, this account feature temporarily stores counters under keyed identifiers derived from connection information and, for signup, the email address. The counters expire after up to 15 minutes for login and one hour for signup, measured from the most recent recorded attempt. This feature does not store the raw IP address or raw email address in those counters. Hosting and other services may separately process technical connection information, as described below.

You can optionally choose a profile, such as student, content creator or professional, and a preferred starting point in your account dashboard. WordPress stores these choices against your user account to prioritise relevant resources when you sign in, including on another device. These are choices you provide, not inferences from browsing behaviour; they do not change your WordPress permissions. You can change them at any time, choose Just exploring for a neutral dashboard, or request removal. They remain with the account until changed or removed and are included in the native WordPress privacy export and erasure tools. Prompt favourites and roadmap notes remain browser-local, as described below. Automated behavioural tracking for personalised recommendations and training models on visitor information have not been added. Existing Google Analytics is described separately below.

Your optional profile.

After signing in, you can add a short bio, current goal, up to four interests, date of birth and profile photo, and choose a profile colour, dashboard spacing and site appearance. These optional details are stored with your WordPress user account. The date of birth is used for a birthday greeting and is not displayed on the profile card or a public member directory. Email and these optional text details are shown only in the signed-in account area. Choosing interests adds links to those resource collections. An appearance preference and a short synchronisation marker are kept in this browser session so a saved light or dark choice can apply without overriding a later theme-toggle choice.

Profile photos are processed as images, resized when needed and re-encoded before storage in the WordPress Media Library. The original upload is not retained by this profile feature. Photos are shown in the account area, but the stored image has a publicly accessible URL: do not upload a photo you need to keep confidential. Replacing or removing a profile photo deletes the previous photo created by this feature. You can clear optional text fields or change these preferences at any time. Profile information is included in WordPress privacy export and erasure tools. Invalid form values may be retained privately for up to five minutes to help you correct a form; photo-upload attempt counters expire after 15 minutes.

Your roadmap notes and saved prompts.

The roadmap stores worksheet answers and completed stages in this browser's local storage. Saved prompt favourites also stay in this browser. These features do not send your worksheet answers to LifestyleGlide or sync them to another device.

The data stays until you clear it, clear your browser's site data or your browser removes it. Download your answers to keep a copy. Use the roadmap's clear button to remove saved progress, or your browser's site-data controls to remove all local data for this site.

Messages, comments and newsletter signups.

If you email us, your email service sends your address and message to our mailbox so we can respond. Sending a question does not subscribe you to marketing. Do not include passwords, private account access or sensitive documents.

If you use the reader discussion, the name and comment you submit can become public after moderation. WordPress handles the comment record and the site's anti-spam controls process connection information.

The newsletter form asks for an email address and permission. It saves the email address, consent wording, signup time and subscription status as private records in WordPress. The current feature does not send email automatically. The private management link records an unsubscribe request immediately.

Proposed retention periods.

Contact messages
12 months after the enquiry is resolved, unless longer retention is necessary for a legal obligation or dispute.
Unconfirmed newsletter signups
30 days.
Active newsletter records
While the person remains subscribed and we continue operating the newsletter.
After unsubscribe
Stop emails immediately and remove the marketing profile within 30 days. Retain only justified consent evidence and the minimum opt-out information needed to prevent unwanted messages.

The WordPress newsletter cleanup setting is enabled and an hourly job is registered. It removes eligible unconfirmed records after 30 days and replaces eligible unsubscribed profiles with a minimal keyed opt-out record after 30 days. An operator-approved check completed successfully on 3 October 2026, with no eligible private records to delete and no records needing review. The hourly job remains registered; this check does not independently verify that scheduled execution works without site visits. WordPress scheduled jobs depend on site activity unless a hosting scheduler runs them, so registration alone does not guarantee a precise deletion deadline. Contact mailbox deletion and deletion in any separate newsletter service are not configured. The contact-message period remains the intended retention policy, not a claim that email deletion is already automatic.

Analytics, hosting and external services.

The live site currently loads Google Analytics, which can use cookies to measure visits and page use. Google and the hosting provider may process technical information such as connection details, device information and page requests.

Analytics retention is not yet verified. We identified the Site Kit Analytics property, but the connected account cannot read the relevant Google data. A second Analytics measurement tag is also present. We will confirm the property settings, reset-on-activity control and consent setup before describing an actual retention period.

YouTube lessons on the roadmap connect to YouTube when you choose to load a video. Opening an external lesson, AI tool or documentation link takes you to that provider, whose privacy terms apply. Review information before sharing it with an AI service.

Requests and choices.

You can choose not to create an account, submit a comment, sign up to the newsletter or email us. You can clear browser-local data in your browser settings and use the newsletter's private unsubscribe link. Contact us at contact@lifestyleglide.com to request access, correction or deletion of information you submitted. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy of data, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and complain to the relevant data protection authority. We may need information to verify that a request concerns your own records.

The complete account-registration policy still needs the legal operator's identity, applicable processing bases and rights, confirmed service-provider arrangements and remaining retention implementation. The owner reports that the partner in India has no access to subscriber records or contact messages; we have not claimed that this independently confirms every hosting or service-provider access arrangement. We will not describe unverified safeguards or deletion settings as implemented.
